What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and other identifiers used to remember information or support website functions.

Essential website cookies

• sessionid: keeps you signed in, maintains session continuity, supports security controls, and helps avoid counting repeated anonymous post or profile views more than once per day. It typically lasts up to approximately 2 weeks unless you sign out, delete it, or the session ends earlier.
• csrftoken: protects forms and account actions against cross-site request-forgery attacks. It typically lasts up to approximately 1 year unless replaced or deleted earlier.
• messages: temporarily carries confirmation or error messages between pages when needed. It is short-lived and normally removed after the message is displayed.

These are first-party cookies used to provide and secure features you request. Millowi does not currently use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or a third-party behavioral analytics service.

Mobile app and device storage

The native Millowi app does not use browser cookies to keep you signed in to the API. It stores access and refresh credentials in operating-system-protected device storage and sends the access credential in an authorization header when communicating with Millowi. It may also store a native push-notification token so notifications can be delivered to the device. Signing out, deactivating, or deleting the account clears the app credentials and unregisters the stored notification token.

Operational data such as IP address, device and app information, request times, security events, and error information may be processed on Millowi's servers as described in the Privacy Policy. This is server-side processing rather than advertising cookie use.

Embedded content and external resources

Posts viewed on the Millowi website or in the native Millowi app may include YouTube videos loaded in privacy-enhanced mode from youtube-nocookie.com. In the native app, the embedded player loads only when you open or preview a post containing a supported YouTube link. It uses an isolated in-app browser view that does not share cookies with Millowi and disables third-party cookies and caching. YouTube may still receive technical information and may use its own cookies or similar storage inside the embedded view when the player is loaded or used, subject to Google's policies.

The Millowi website also loads software or visual resources from jsDelivr and cdnjs. Those providers may receive IP address, browser, and request information even when they do not set a cookie.

Links opened from the native app may open in your system browser or another third-party app. Storage used after you leave Millowi is controlled by that destination and is subject to its policies.

Your choices

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking sessionid or csrftoken may prevent login, posting, account changes, and other essential functions from working correctly. Browser controls may also let you restrict third-party storage or embedded content.

On a mobile device, you can remove Millowi's local app storage by signing out or using the operating system's app-data controls. You can manage notification permission in system settings.

Consent and non-essential technologies

Millowi currently uses only the essential first-party website cookies described above, so there is no optional-cookie preference toggle. If non-essential analytics, advertising, personalization, or payment technologies are introduced, they will be identified here and will not be activated until consent is obtained where applicable law requires it.

Future changes

We may update this policy when technologies or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated, and additional notice will be provided when a change materially affects your choices.
